You listen to the gentle sounds of the lotus lilies rocking back and forth in the breeze, creaking. The birds were all around you but always out of sight and what followed was a gentle hum and whistle from different locations. Echoing down to the water and through the still air. The birds have a whistle that undulates up and down much like the waves, echoing out thru the gap between the lotus lilies and the water. You dip your ore down into the water and make a swashing sound that you find to be playful and calming. You take a few more rows. Exerting yourself and pushing the water behind your raft. One, two, and a final third push. Gliding into the sunlight, feeling the warmth on your skin. You hold the ore in your hands and close your eyes raising your head towards the undersides of the lotus lilies. The sunlight hits the outside of your closed eyelids creating a warm white in your vision. You think to yourself, it seems as though you may just travel through here for as long as you can. For as long as the lotus lilies go.
